Open Labs & Sound City are hosting Sound Lab; an upcoming event prototyping our experience of sound
Sound Lab is an opportunity to experiment with new ways of creating, experiencing and sharing sound. Teams of participants from a variety of disciplines will develop new tools for enhancing our engagement with sound using digital technologies. We’ll put you into teams and the day will culminate in said teams presenting their projects to a panel of judges.
Who is it targeted at?
For the event to be successful we need a mix of disciplines and skill sets from those attending, for example, on the sound side, we need musicians, sound engineers and people who work in music or sound production, whilst on the ‘techie’ side we need programmers, developers and those with knowledge of various music-related technologies, techniques, and use of hardware gizmo.
Finally we need some creative and artistic people whose contribution regarding visualisation techniques will help bring projects together in a variety of presentable formats.
When is it?
Friday 25th November 2011, 9.30am – 6.00pm
Where is it held?
CUC, 41-51 Greenland Street, Liverpool, L1 0BS
