LJMU’s annual Learning and Teaching Conference provides a forum to share and discuss innovative and effective learning, teaching and assessment practices, as well as explore findings from teaching-related research. On the theme of ‘Inspiring Teaching’, this year’s two-day event will showcase the work of academic and professional service staff across a range of Higher Education learning and teaching topics. These include the use of interactive teaching methods, learning technologies, and creative teaching designs.
Organised by the Academic Enhancement Unit, the conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at the Art and Design Academy (ADA), off Mount Pleasant, in the heart of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter. Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Weatherill will open the conference introducing our keynote presenter, Professor Craig Mahoney, Chief Executive, The Higher Education Academy. A keynote presentation from Dr Sue Rigby, Vice Principal (PVC) Learning and Teaching, Edinburgh University will open the second day. The conference will close with the announcement by the VC of the LJMU Learning and Teaching Award winners.
The conference is open to all LJMU staff, students and collaborative partner institutions. Additionally we warmly invite all members of the Higher Education sector to attend.
