5th Liverpool Universities Pub Quiz

LJMU alumni, staff and friends packed into the Guild of Students for the latest pub quiz against the University of Liverpool.

Around 120 people gathered to participate in the latest Liverpool Universities Pub Quiz at the Guild of Students on Brownlow Hill. With LJMU trailing 3-1, the quiz was another keenly fought affair. 

After two hours of discussion and drinks, the overall winners came from the University of Liverpool with 'Carol Kay’s Team’ coming out on top with a score of 44 points out of a possible 70.

Agonisingly close to leading LJMU to victory were 'The Girls + 1’ (pictured) who scored 43 out of 70. The Girls + 1 were left kicking themselves about the first question of the evening when they answered that Sandie Shaw was the first female pop artist to appear on Top of the Pops when it was Dusty Springfield.

The Quiz prizes were generously sponsored with Carol Kay’s Team choosing tickets to The Lantern Theatre. The Girls +1 were left to enjoy a tour of the Cains Brewery.
