Linda Collins

Linda came to IM Marsh Campus in 1994 working part-time in Reprographics and Reception. In 1996 she was appointed to full-time Programme Administrator for Admissions, marketing and recruiting Faculty Programmes. The role provided a range of administration support to students and academics.

She worked in similar roles for various departments during the following nine years.

In the last two and half years Linda has had a secondment from LJMU, working full-time for the DfES National Learning Mentor Project, on the co-ordination of the training of Learning Mentors throughout the country.

Linda’s current role is Work Placement Administrator for the recently established Work Related Unit. The Unit’s remit is to liaise with students, academic colleagues, schools, employers and external agencies to source arrange and maintain student work placements for the Faculty’s students.

Linda develops and maintains databases and other appropriate systems of student records to meet the requirements of the Work Related Learning Unit. She provides information relating to Students, Schools, Employers, Mentors, Liaison Tutors, and other essential documentation (insurance etc). Linda supports Criminal Record Bureau checks and List 99 checks which are processed as required for students on a variety of relevant programmes.
