Nigel Green

Nigel taught in secondary schools in both Wigan and Sefton for 29 years prior to taking up his post at LJMU in July 2009. During this period Nigel served on the Physical Education Association Executive Committee, and was involved in the formation of the Association for Physical Education. He has been a proactive and innovative physical educationalist within Wigan, Sefton and the North West. Nigel was also Sefton Cluster Co-ordinator for LJMU.

Career history and current interests

Taught Physical Education in four secondary schools from 1980 – 2009 (Three schools in Wigan on one in Sefton). Was head of department in two schools for 21 years and Head of Faculty (PE, Dance, Drama, Music and Art) for 3 years.
Member of Physical Education Association Executive Committee for 6 years.
Interests – ICT in PE, Leadership and Management, Personal and Social Development through PE, Training Teachers.
