Research Profile
Principal investigator and co-investigator of a number of research projects with a  total value of more than £2.5 million, including:
Four EPSRC research grants
Three official collaboration agreements with IMEC
One HEFCE Promosing Researcher Grant
Submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 with international outstanding/excellent outputs, including one highly rated Impact Case Study
Published over forty papers predominantly in benchmarking journals for REF and flagship international conferences such as IEEE Transactions, IEDM, VLSI and IRPS
Supervisor of  eleven PhD students (four as the Director of Studies) 
Leader of research on memory devices at LJMU
Collaboration with the world-leading IMEC Memory Device Consortium, including Intel, Micron, Samsung, Hynix, Toshiba and SanDisk

Research Interests
Quality assessment of CMOS devices and Flash memory devices.
Characterisation of VLSI devices and Processing;  
Digital/Analogue/Mixed Signal/RF ASIC design;

Research Projects
High permittivity dielectrics on Ge for end of Roadmap application, s
ponsored by EPSRC.
Variability of nano-scale CMOS devices, sponsored by EPSRC.
Characterisation of future generations memory technology including RRAM and 3D Flash, collaborating with IMEC memory consortium
Stress-Induced Leakage Current (SILC) in Thin Gate Oxides of MOSFETs, Sponsored by EPSRC.
Promising Researcher Grant, Sponsored by HEFCE.
