Senior Lecturer in Counselling.
Professional Lead for Counselling.
I started counselling in 1993. My counselling background has a focus in the field of trauma and traumatic bereavement, and includes specialised areas such as working with Asylum Seekers and Refugees, clients affected by the death of a child and survivors of child sexual abuse and rape, as well as experience with more general counselling issues. My practice also includes providing supervision to therapists.
Prior to my current post, my interest in training led to my involvement in the development of training courses for loss and bereavement, interpreting in therapeutic settings and working with interpreters, among others.
