| Biography: |
Trained as a general nurse at the University of College Hospital, London. Have worked as a staff nurse on drug and alcohol ward, medical ward, older person’s ward/end of life, children's burn unit, children and adults with physical and learning disability. I have managed research projects, as part of a team and individually. Worked as a researcher and taught in other Higher Education Institutions. Currently, I provide individual mentoring to individuals from a variety of organisations. I also design and deliver training to outside organisations. |

Therapeutic communication, advanced communication models, research, learning disability, working and supporting individuals with learning disability who use health services and introducing this to our curriculum and nursing/health/occupational psychology. |
| Research Interests: |
Therapeutic communication and advanced communication models in pre-registration curriculum, post-registration and training. Supporting individuals with learning disability who use health services and creating links between health curriculum and research with this client group. Supporting staff delivering care in the NHS, private and voluntary organisations. |
