When I found out that LJMU’s BA (Hons) Tourism and Leisure Management programme has links with Hong Kong City University, my mind was made up as to where I was going to study.
When I first arrived in the UK, LJMU arranged for me to be met at the airport and taken to my accommodation. Liverpool is big enough to be able to do and find everything you want, but small enough to make friends and feel part of a community.
The programme allowed me to study the first two years of my degree in Hong Kong, then spend the final year in the UK and graduate with a degree from a British university. This appealed to me because I wanted the benefits and expertise that LJMU could provide (LJMU’s Tourism and Leisure course is top-rated in the UK).
The tutors have been very helpful. LJMU helped me find a job and the reference my tutor wrote for me was so good that I got the job!
After I have finished my degree I want to work in the tourist industry in Shanghai and hopefully LJMU’s careers department will be able to help me find a Hong Kong company there.
I would definitely recommend Liverpool John Moores University to any international student who was thinking about studying in the UK. The teaching is excellent and the support I have received since coming here has been amazing.
