"The tutors not only have academic experience but also extensive practical experience. It is a pleasure to be taught by these great Professors."
I feel very proud to say that I am a part of this prestigious and world renowned Institution. LLM in Business and Commercial Law is very interesting.
The lecture/class rooms are equipped with the latest multimedia technology and the Learning Resource Centre is world-class for its services and facilities. The staff are very helpful and students can also get access to the internet, electronic books, journals and commentaries as well as old and new legislations.
The teaching methodology in LJMU is very good. The comprehensive and knowledgeable handouts given by great tutors are invaluable. The tutors not only have academic experience but also extensive practical experience. It is a pleasure to be taught by these great Professors.
I have received excellent careers advice from the Graduate Development Centre (GDC) at LJMU and will definitely use the GDC services after my second semester to further my Legal career.

"I would not have the confidence that I now have if I had not come to LJMU"
My postgraduate degree at LJMU helped me improve my communication skills and taught me to conduct research before implementing anything. This has proved to be extremely productive. I would not have the confidence that I now have if I had not come to LJMU. I now believe that I would be successful working anywhere in the world.

"The time I spent in LJMU was the best time of my life, it completely transformed me, made me a better person, it changed my life forever"
I came across LJMU and found out that they have expertise in Computer Law. I got in touch with the Head of the Department by email and from the very first email everybody was so very helpful. It took me less than 7 months from the first email to actually start my MPhil which later on became my PhD. The time I spent in LJMU was the best time of my life, it completely transformed me, made me a better person, it changed my life forever. Doing my PhD was different from anything I had done before in my life; I enjoyed spending hours in the library or in front of a computer for the purpose of my PhD, but everything became easy with the support and encouragement that I got from my supervisor and other members of the Law School. LJMU has one of the best Learning Resource Centres in the country and the staff are immensely helpful. Liverpool as a city is second to none in terms of accommodation, part-time job opportunities and friendly people.

"I am very happy to stay in Liverpool - it is like my second home"
After extensively researching the universities available to me, I found Liverpool John Moores University, where I was quickly welcomed into a modern, reputable, supportive and friendly University.
One of the aspects of LJMU that attracted me was its strong reputation for delivering quality programmes that meet the needs of business and industry.
Although I hope to gain a managerial position in India, for now, I am very happy to stay in Liverpool - it is like my second home. The people here are really friendly and the cost of living is low compared with other cities in the UK.
I am working on a marketing project that should last for 3-4 months. The money I receive from this is really helpful and the job allows me to apply some of the practical skills and knowledge I have acquired on the MBA to business.
It was because of my management-orientated master's degree from Liverpool John Moores University that I now have this great opportunity working as a Business Analyst for Reliance Industries in India.

Ron Jacob, BSc Biotechnology
"I really love being a student in Liverpool and at LJMU, the facilities for Laboratory work are excellent, and the city is a really fun place to be for students."
I have been interested in Biotechnology since I was very young and I have always been attracted to Laboratory work and particularly research. I had heard from my previous tutors, that the BSc Biotechnology programme at Liverpool John Moores University was an up and coming course so I really wanted to come here. There was also the attraction of obtaining a foreign degree, which is held in high regard back home. After I have completed my undergraduate programme, I hope to stay on at Liverpool John Moores University and do a Post Graduate degree in Industrial Biotechnology and continue my research. Eventually I would like to go back to India so that I can work there and conduct my own personal research.
I really love being a student in Liverpool and at LJMU, the facilities for Laboratory work are excellent, and the city is a really fun place to be for students. Because there are so many students here there is lots going on, the students union is always very lively, especially when football is being shown. And I feel that with all the shops, clubs, museums and theatres, Liverpool is a cool place for International students.
One of the best things about the university is the academic staff. They are always very helpful, and encourage us to ask questions to make sure we fully understand the topic that is being taught. They are very committed to meeting the needs of all the students. There is a positive atmosphere whenever classes are being conducted and the lecturers give us opportunities to do group work, which improves our communication skills and enables us to learn from each other. It is also a great way to make lots of friends.
