Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a designer? See what it's really like to make a living from designing, making and designing professionally in our Summer Workshops for 11-16 year olds at the Liverpool School of Art and Design .
Each daily workshop is delivered by a designer who will work with you on real projects, teaching you new skills and an awareness of what it is really like to work within their industry. MONDAY JULY 23rd GRAPHIC DESIGN
Learn how contemporary Graphic Designers work as they show you the concepts behind logo design the profession and the techniques to help you create your very own brand
TUESDAY JULY 24th ILLUSTRATION
Explore different approaches to illustration, how to design a character, working with collage and creating a piece in relation to a favourite narrative.
WEDNESDAY JULY 25th ANIMATION
Find out about how animation works, storyboard an idea and then bring in to life through the art of stop frame animation. Develop and capture your own mini-animation masterpiece in just one day!
THURSDAY JULY 26th TYPOGRAPHY
Discover the power of letters and fonts and how they can greatly influence how people interpret the words they display as you create a giant typographic image.
FRIDAY JULY 27th LASER CUTTING
Experience digital manufacturing techniques as you create a digital design to be cut and engraved in a range of materials using our Laser cutter.
Daily sessions are £25 or a full week of 5 days is £100.
Sessions run from 9am-5pm (We have a drop off facility from 8.30 am) and are held in the Liverpool School of Art and Design, Duckinfield Street (Off Brownlow Hill), Liverpool, L3 5RD.
