The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences has recently joined up with Leaders in Performance to produce an e-zine for its registered members.
Leaders in Performance is a prestigious international conference held at Chelsea FC which is dedicated to the identification, development and management of elite sporting talent. Leaders is an invitation only event that attracts senior professionals in the world of sports performance. Currently Leaders have a network list of over 6,000 contacts ranging from sports governing bodies, sports clubs and organisations, industry suppliers and performance consultants from across Europe, America, Africa and Asia.
The Leader e-zine is a monthly newsletter which provides independent, informative and authoritative views on performance sport with exclusive interviews and content from some of the leading names involved in managing, identifying and developing elite sporting talent worldwide.
Drs Dave Richardson, Barry Drust and Mark Nesti from The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences help write and guide the content of The Leader as part of its editorial board.
Dr Mark Nesti has a regular monthly column whilst Dr Dave Richardson has recently written articles based around interviews with leading sports personnel including Dave Brailsford, Performance Director for British Cycling, Peter Vint, High Performance Director with the United States Olympic Committee and Damien Comolli, Director of Football at Liverpool Football Club.
Dr Dave Richardson, LJMU Assistant Director, School of Sport and Exercise Sciences said: "The association with Leaders is an extremely prestigious partnership for the School. The association offers the School a vehicle for dialogue, communication and influence across a global network of leaders in sports teams and organisations. Furthermore, the links with such high profile sports leaders allows us to share the currency of their thoughts and practices with our students.
