4th annual Doctoral Conference
25 July 2011
Liverpool Business School held its 4th Annual Doctoral Conference in June. The conference was well attended by both staff and students from varying programmes ranging from the Masters in Research Programme, the PhD and the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA). The keynote speaker for the conference was Professor Derek Pugh, author of the book “How to get a PhD”, who gave a very useful and informative workshop on “the components of a good doctorate”.
The conference provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their work either through posters or verbal presentations and to interact and engage with other research students as well as staff. Dr Yusra Mouzughi, Programme Leader for the Doctoral Programmes said “we are very proud to host the doctoral conference, now in its 4th year, as it allows students from different doctoral programmes to engage in debates about research; appreciate the range of research projects being undertaken in the school and generally be a part of a growing research community”.
At the end of the conference, prizes were given for best verbal and best poster presentation. This year, best poster presentation was awarded to Mohammed Zakari and best verbal presentation was awarded to Wael Jundi.
