Want to improve your lifestyle in retirement?

07 September 2011

LJMU staff are invited to find out how to make a positive difference to their lifestyle in retirement.

Come along to a 45 minute session with Prudential, the appointed pension scheme partner to both the Merseyside Pension Fund, which is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and also the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).

Date:  Thursday 22 September 2011
Times: LGPS members: 9:30am or 2.00pm
TPS members: 11.00am or 3:30pm
Venue: Training Room, 5th floor, Kingsway House

David Thorpe, a Retirement Education Consultant from Prudential, will provide an overview of how your LGPS/TPS works and explain why it’s more important than ever to understand how changes might affect your retirement income.

David will also show you simple and effective ways to increase the money you have in retirement. For example, find out how to get:

  • Help from the taxman – eg. £200 into your pension pot at a cost to you of just £160 or £120
  • An additional tax-free cash lump sum on retirement
  • An additional regular retirement income

David won’t tell you what to do, or give you advice, but will support you in making the right decisions, by giving you factual information. If you do need financial advice, please speak to an independent financial adviser.

Book your place today by emailing your name, daytime phone number and preferred session to retirepru@prudential.co.uk or call 0800 015 4615 (Monday-Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm).

If you just want to find out more about improving your retirement prospects now, call Prudential on 0845 607 0077
