Liverpool Screen School and Future Artists present Future Artists in conversation - Producer Mark Ashmore ‘Project Lost Generation’ IP Law and Creative Commons

Date: Monday 3 October
Time: 6.00 - 8.00pm
Venue: Art and Design Academy

Mark Ashmore Producer/Director of ‘Project Lost Generation’ the UK's first audience generated fiction feature film and transmedia story, will be in conversation with his lawyers, in an open forum with his legal team on the challenges a creative idea has when it involves working via audience collaboration, and the potential intellectual property laws and copyright issues that will arise.

The conversation will be open and honest, and will use a live case study to demonstrate the pitfalls and practical steps needed. The audience is invited to ask questions and also follow the film’s journey from idea to audience via http://www.projectlostgeneration.co.uk

The talk will also focus on ‘Creative Commons’ and how this can be used in best practice.

Tickets are £5 (though free of charge for LJMU students), but booking is essential. Reserve tickets at: https://buyonline.ljmu.ac.uk/browse/product.asp?catid=6&modid=2&compid=1

This talk is part of ‘Project Lost Generations Cinema New Wave series’, on how the media revolution has created new working practice and how the next generation of media architects, storytellers and media makers can use digital to its full effect.
