Nursing online at Guardian Careers
23 January 2012
Join the online Q&A to explore careers in the healthcare sector featuring LJMU Lecturer in Nursing and Primary Care Practice, Lorraine Burgess.
On Tuesday 24 January, The Guardian will bring together a panel of experts who will discuss the skills and qualifications required to get a job with the NHS or the private healthcare industry. The Q&A will take place between 1.00 and 3.00pm at http://careers.guardian.co.uk/careers-blog/healthcare-career-options
LJMU's Lorraine Burgess will be taking part in the discussion. She will also be highlighting how LJMU is set to help with the Government target to increase the number of registered health visitors by offering a unique opportunity for postgraduates with caring experience. Those with a health related degree and relevant experience now have a new career path option for nursing and health visiting through a Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing.
