LJMU’s Centre for Tourism, Events and Food Studies hosted an employer day for students entitled, How to Get Ahead - Skills and Attributes to get into the Events, Tourism and Leisure and Food Industries.

They heard about the skills and attributes these employers look for when they recruit into graduate level roles, as well as placements and other paid and unpaid work.

The day opened with a Career Development hour focussing on CV’s, interviews and an elevator pitch and was followed by a 45 minute networking refreshment break giving students the opportunity to impress the assembled employers.
