Unique collaboration reaps internships
20 June 2012
A unique collaboration between Open Labs and the World of Work Careers Centre will see ten internships offered to LJMU graduates in September.
The graduates will receive a World of Work Internship Bursary with support provided by Open Labs and the opportunities will be advertised on the LJMU vacancy site in the next few weeks.
Terry Dray, Director of Graduate Advancement and Employer Engagement commented:
"It's good to be working with Open Labs. These will be excellent opportunities for graduates looking to gain essential experience and employability skills. The World of Work Careers Centre provides career support for life for LJMU graduates so we'll provide support before and after these internships to help our alumni secure a graduate job."
Lindsay Sharples, Director of Open Labs added:
"Open Labs supports digital technology companies in the Liverpool City Region to develop new innovative products and services in partnership with the University's researchers. This programme will provide local businesses with access to highly skilled graduates, further helping to support the development of long-term, successful relationships between SMEs and LJMU."
