LJMU's green credentials
LJMU must demonstrate that it is meeting its sustainable targets and can help others attain theirs.

Did you know that LJMU plans to cut its carbon emissions by 25% by 2015?
Switching lights and machines off that are not in use, turning the heating down and upgrading insulation, collectively all of these things can save the University a surprising amount of money.
But finances are not the sole reason for managing our carbon footprint. Neither is it just about saving the planet. LJMU is striving to become a low carbon university, with strong environment credentials because it’s about developing then using a business strength which is increasingly in demand.
