IBM Project Manager visits the School

Team lead project manager, Steve Neupower gave a talk on the IBM approach to Project Management. This talk was aimed at a group of Level 2 students as part of their Project Management module.

Steve has worked for IBM for 25 years and is currently managing the development of WebSphere Visualization software at ILOG, IBM. His teams are based at IBM Hursley and in France.

The talk centered on how projects can be managed in an 'Agile' environment where product delivery is focused strongly on customer needs rather than development timescales. Steve outlined some novel methods for performing project management tasks and compared them to the traditional approaches.
