LJMU academic invited to address Health Strategy Forum
Dr Farath Arshad from the Centre for Health and Social Care Informatics (CHaSCI) gave an invited presentation at the Health Strategy Forum recently.
The presentation focussed on the experience of NHS Primary Care Cluster boards during these difficult financial times, the role technology plays and what academic research can bring to the NHS.
Projects and collaborations highlighted the strong relationship CHaSCI at LJMU has forged with various NHS Trusts locally and regionally around the informatics workstream i.e. Self Care Tools for Long Term Conditions, Telemonitoring, e-PROMS as well as basic R&D.
Health Strategy Forum was an Invitation only event with key speakers including Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell, Chair of the Health Select Committee, Katie Davies (NHS Director for Informatics), Mike Farrar (NHS Chief Executive) as well as many NHS Trust Directors.
