Principles of Managing Children's Pain / Implementation of Children’s Pain Management Strategies

Aim of the course

To develop knowledge, skills( level 2 ) and a critical understanding ( level 3 ) of the prevention and management of children’s pain.

Course content

Topics covered include attitudes to pain in children, physiology of pain, pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, child and parent focused care all within a range of clinical settings and covering neonates through to adolescence.
