I M Marsh students

Accommodation advice for students studying at I M Marsh

The I M Marsh Campus is located in Aigburth, a quiet suburb located about four miles from Liverpool city-centre. The campus is home to part of the Faculty of Education, Health and Community (EHC). The vast majority of I M Marsh students have always lived in Liverpool city-centre because of the social and leisure facilities on hand and also because the accommodation available there is modern and well equipped.

Accommodation for undergraduate students

The only student accommodation located within walking distance of the Campus is Rose Lane - but this is is reserved for new postgraduates and so all new undergraduate students need to select accommodation from the wide range of city-centre options. It is  simple to travel to and from I M Marsh if you live in Liverpool city-centre and information about travel options can be found here.

Most of the bedrooms at Apollo Court will be set aside for new I M Marsh undergraduates in academic year 2014/15. Apollo Court is modern, completely en-suite and well located for public transport to I M Marsh.  Students who choose to live at Apollo Court are guaranteed to share their flat with other I M Marsh students if they wish.

In addition, Grand Central, Capital Gate, Grenville Street and North Western Hall are popular with new I M Marsh students. Grand Central is the most expensive accommodation available to new LJMU students and North Western Hall is the cheapest. New I M Marsh students who choose to live at these sites (or elsewhere in the city) can ask to share their flat with other students from that campus, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Accommodation for postgraduate students

New postgraduate students based at I M Marsh are advised to book a bedroom in either Rose LaneLiberty Atlantic Point or Liberty Prospect Point.  Rose Lane is located about ten minutes walk from the campus and features rooms within self-contained houses with shared bathrooms. The majority of Rose Lane residents will be studying on PGCE courses and no new LJMU undergraduates are allowed to live there.

All bedrooms at Liberty Prospect Point and Liberry Atlantic Point feature private en-suite bathrooms and are good value at £108.50 per week (Liberty Prospect Point) or £115.00 per week (Liberty Atlantic Point). Parking is available at £10 per week for residents at Liberty Atlantic Point only. Another option is to take a studio at Apollo Court at a cost of £140.00 per week. Finally, there are plenty of private houses and flats available in the area around I M Marsh and Liverpool Student Homes is the first place to look for this type of accommodation.
