Data Protection Diversity in the Workplace Bribery Act LJMU E-Learning Modules
Data Protection, Diversity in the Workplace and Bribery Act LJMU's e-learning modules are to be completed by all University staff annually. The modules provide an overview of the legislation and will help you to understand your rights and responsibilities as well as identify further sources of help.

Diversity in the Workplace
This module is designed to raise awareness of equal opportunities legislation, develop understanding of the issues of equality and diversity to ensure all members of staff appreciate their responsibilities.
Working through the module will:
- Help you to understand the equal opportunities legislation
- Develop understanding of the issues of equality and diversity
- Subject areas can be used as a valuable reference resource
- Links to the University policies and guidance, providing supplementary guidance for managers and staff
The module takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. In each section you can check your knowledge by answering a quiz. At the end of the module you are required to complete a short test and a score of 12 points is required to successfully pass the module. If necessary you may retake the test several times.
This module is designed to support the good handling of information and its legal compliance; and provides an overview of the legislation and a helpful introduction to Records Management, Data Protection, Data Security and Freedom of Information.
Working through the module will:
- Help you to understand the principle of good Records Managemnet
- Introduce the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts, their basic requirements, your rights and responsibilities
- Provide guidance and good practice
- Raise awareness of University policies and guidance
The modules do not have to be completed all at once. It is possible to go through them in stages and you can revisit all of it or sections of it, as often as you want.
The modules take approximately 45 minutes to complete. In each section you can check your knowledge by answering questions. At the end of the module you are required to complete a short quiz , a score of 12 points are required to successfully pass the modules. If necessary you may retake the quiz several times.
A certificate is available at the end of the module and as the modules are mandatory staff completion will be monitored and reported to SMG and the Audit Committee on an annual basis.
