Governors

Research by the Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education has shown that governing bodies should consider what specific equality responsibilities equality legislation places on them. Governors are required to analyse the strategic importance of equality and diversity to their institutions together with the risks involved.

A handbook has been designed to provide a comprehensive resource guide to provide information and reference documents for governors to help equip them to discharge their equality and diversity duties and responsibilities, a link to this can be found in the menu on the left.
