The network video service allows online video and audio to be uploaded onto the University's computer network and made available both on and off campus.
By default, material is restricted to members of the University.
How do I view items on Network Video?
To view an on demand video from the list, simply click on
View in Media Player.
What software do I need to have installed?
A computer with an broadband connection, running Windows Media Player 9 or higher or a media player which supports the Windows Media 9 codec. Please note that the service is current only available via Microsoft Internet Explorer.
All networked Windows PCs within the university have required applications already installed. If you view videos from Off Campus, you may need to install Windows Media Player, which is available free of charge from the Microsoft web site.
Can’t find the programme you are looking for?
Network Video programmes are arranged alphabetically in the subject categories listed. For further help finding a programme try keyword searching the Library Catalogue Video and DVD collection. Once you have found the title select the Electronic Location link to watch the programme. Search the Library Catalogue
Please note: the Network Video Service is not suitable for use via the Off Campus Applications (CITRIX) service.
