Online Module Selection: 21 March - 8 April 2011
09 March 2011
Between 21 March and 8 April 2011 eligible students will be asked to select the option modules that they would like to study during the next academic year.
It is vital students select the right modules for their route of study and that meet any professional accreditations associated with their course. Incorrect module selection has major knock-on effects in terms of effective timetabling and can also delay the payment of student loans.
Considered academic advice and guidance is crucial to making sure students make the right choices and Programme Leaders and Module Tutors are key to making sure that students receive timely and up-to-date information about what option modules students should select. This year their role is even more important because the majority of modules have changed as part of the development of the new Academic Framework.
It is essential that all students, not just those taking part in OMS, fully understand:
- Why LJMU has moved towards the delivery of 24 credit year long modules and the benefits this will bring to their student experience
- What their core and option modules are and the topics covered in each module
- New module titles and new module codes
Eligible students will be contacted by email on Monday 21 March with a link to OMS where they will be able to see a list of their module choices. Option module selections can then be completed with just a couple of clicks.
A full list of programmes/levels taking part in OMS will be posted online soon.
