UK Research Office to deliver seminar at LJMU
01 August 2011
The UK Research Office (UKRO) is due to deliver a seminar on European research funding here at LJMU on Tuesday 20 September 2011 at the Tom Reilly Building.
The seminar, which takes place once a year, is aimed at research staff who would like to learn more about the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and will cover such topics as how to become a project partner and how to submit a successful application. In addition, this year will see an increased focus on administration and finance issues connected to coordinating a project as a lead partner.
One hour sessions on FP7 will take place in the morning and, in the afternoon, the facilitator, Judith Litjens from UKRO will take half hour one-to-one meetings advising research staff on queries they have about potential projects. Chris White from the North West Health - Brussels Office (NWHBO) will also be on hand to answer specific queries regarding health-related projects. An itinerary of the event is available here.
To book a place on the seminar and/or a one-to-one meeting with Judith or Chris please call Martyn Harby in the Development Funding office on extension 6469 or email m.harby@ljmu.ac.uk by Tuesday 13 September 2011.
