Staff development programmes

The Academic Enhancement Team has staff places available on the following programmes:
The LJMU Leadership Programme, with the option to work towards an accredited qualification, ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership, verified by the Institute for Leadership and Management (ILM), for a small fee.
LJMU Leadership Programme: leading to ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership
This programme has a strong focus on the more theoretical and strategic aspects of leadership, including subjects such as emotional intelligence, self reflection and action learning. It is best suited to those individuals who have wider strategic leadership responsibilities.
Induction: Tuesday 27 September 2011, 9.30 - 11.30am
The LJMU Train the Trainer programmes, with an option to work towards two separate qualifications, accredited by the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health (CIEH)
Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice
Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
The programme’s focus on the development of training and teaching skills, including both the design of lessons and the practical considerations to be made whilst delivering. They are best suited to those who are interested in gaining an introduction to the skills of training/teaching and/or who need to deliver short sessions to staff or students.
Day One: Thursday 29 September 2011, 9.30am - 4.00pm
All sessions will be held at the Academic Enhancement Unit, 5th Floor, Kingsway House.
