LJMU has launched an online e-learning module ‘Diversity in the Workplace’, which must be completed by all staff.
The module is designed to raise awareness of Equal Opportunities legislation and will help staff to develop an understanding of equality and diversity issues. The module replaces the tutor-led Equality and Diversity workshops.
The module takes approximately 45 minutes to complete, with questions throughout to help you retain the information. At the end of the module you are required to complete a short test and score 12 points, which will ensure you successfully pass the module. If necessary, you may repeat the questions several times.
This module should be viewed annually, as part of the updating process, to learn about new policy and legislative changes and updates. This should be monitored through the University’s PDPR process.
There is now the opportunity to make use of the IT Suite within the Centre for Staff Development. These quiet, informal surroundings can be used for e-learning or tutor led courses, with newly installed AV Projector and wall screen. The room is suitable for up to 9 people plus 1 tutor. The facility can be booked on Mondays or Fridays.
