Cycle to uni? LJMU Bicycle Lock Scheme

07 December 2011

Cycle theft is an unfortunate fact of life in most cities. Within Liverpool John Moores University, 99% of cycle thefts occur to cycles secured with cable locks or chains. Most cycle theft is an opportunistic crime and very rarely do cycles with shackle locks get targeted.

Image of bikes locked up in LRC bike parkAs part of the ongoing Travel Planning initiatives the University has sourced a high quality Level 10 Gold Secure Cycle Lock (shackle).

We are able to offer these to LJMU staff and students for £18 (a huge saving on the RRP of £39.99).

The locks are available to purchase from the online shop

The locks can be collected from Main Reception or the Security Lodge, Byrom Street.

Why not take advantage of this great scheme and make sure your cycle is secure.

Please note, all cycles left on University premises is at their owners or users risk. The University accepts no liability for loss or damage, howsoever arising.
