Students Affected by City Centre Gas Leak

19 January 2012

The suspected gas leak in Liverpool city centre has left some students, resident in Lime Court on Lime Street, unable to access their accommodation.  Students who are unable to return to their accommodation whilst the area is cordoned off are advised to seek alternative accommodation until the police release the area.

Updates can be found via this link: www.Liverpool.gov.uk/news/details.aspx?id=212488

The owners of Lime Court also own the International Inn in South Hunter Street adjacent to LiverpoolSU. They have beds available and will offer displaced students from Lime Court a special rate of £10 for a nights accommodation.

Accommodation is also available at Hatters on Mount Pleasant at a rate of £12 per night.

Please note that the LRCs are open throughout the night.

If the situation continues beyond this evening and students are concerned please contact Student Advice and Wellbeing via studentadvice@ljmu.ac.uk or by calling 904 6056/7.
