Visa Advice Workshops
LJMU's Student Advice team will be running a series of workshops to help international students with any visa issues they have, particularly in relation to Tier 4 Student visa extensions and applications for Tier 1 Post Study Work. The workshops will run every Wednesday in the World of Work Careers Centre (formerly the Graduate Development Centre). All international students who need to extend their visa or apply for Post Study Work should attend one of the workshops. Careers Workshops for International Students
The World of Work Careers Centre (formerly the Graduate Development Centre) is running a series of careers workshops for international students to take place at both Byrom Street and John Foster Building in February and March. If you are an international student and will be looking for a job or placement soon, these session will be extremely useful.

Job Hunting in the UK for International Students
Looking for a job can be difficult - the workshop can help you to identify the different ways to search for a job and how to target potential companies in the UK. It will introduce you to the skills of tapping into the hidden jobs market and effectively developing and utilising your network of contacts successfully.

World of Work Skills Certificate Introduction for International Students
Do you want to have the skills to stand out from the crowd? Why not get involved with the LJMU unique employer verified process, which aims to make our graduates the most valued by recruiters. This session provides an overview of the three stages of the World of Work Skills Certificate of Self Awareness, Organisational Awareness and Making Things Happen.

CV Writing for International Students
You may have all the skills and experience, but without a CV that conveys this to employers, you will experience difficulty to reach interview stage. This session will help you communicate your skills and experience effectively, looking at different formats of CVs and identifying what UK employers are looking for.
