Voluntary sector supports LJMU World of Work programme
22 March 2012
Alan Lewis, CEO of Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services, has joined the World of Work Local Employer Group.
The Local Employer Group meets quarterly with staff from the World of Work Careers Centre (formerly the Graduate Development Centre) to act as a critical friend to the World Work Programme and ensure that the Programme is relevant from an employer's perspective.
Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services join the likes of Lovell, Kellogg's, Tate Liverpool, Smaller Earth, Liverpool City Council and Royal Mail, providing a balance of opinion on the group from organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Terry Dray, Director Graduate Advancement and Employer Engagement said:
"Many of our students go on to work in the voluntary and not for profit sector as there are very challenging and rewarding careers available. Alan will bring considerable experience and insight to our group which ultimately, will make our World of Work Programme even more relevant for students and employers."
