LJMU nominated for Times Higher Education Library Team Award

LJMU's Library and Student Support team (L&SS) has once again been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Outstanding Library Team Award (THELMA).

This is the second consecutive year that Library and Student Support has been nominated for the award. Last year, L&SS was shortlisted for the work that they had achieved in converging respective student administration, library and IT support services together to form Library and Student Support.

This year, the nomination is for a specific initiative - the 'Development of the Digitisation Suite' within the Aldham Robarts Learning Resource Centre. This particular initiative is part of the continual development of the University’s Special Collections and Archives and is currently being used by three project archivists to create new digital collections. The creation of the digitisation suite is an innovative project in partnership with the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies.
