The Director and the teams within Legal and Governance Services have institutional responsibilities in a number of areas:

Health and Safety
Occupational Health
Student Governance
Student Disciplinary Procedures
Fitness to Practise and Fitness to Study Procedures
Criminal Convictions Panels
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosures and compliance
Disclosures under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (Whistleblowing)
Internal Reviews under the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and in connection with Data Protection issues.

Our aim is to provide a high quality advisory and support service to ensure both the adoption of good practice and compliance with legislation and regulation.
