The Director and the teams within Legal and Governance Services have institutional responsibilities in a number of areas:

  • Occupational Health
  • Student Governance
  • Student Disciplinary Procedures
  • Fitness to Practise and Fitness to Study Procedures
  • Criminal Convictions Panels
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosures and compliance
  • Disclosures under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (Whistleblowing)
  • Internal Reviews under the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and in connection with Data Protection issues.

  • Institutional Licences and Subscriptions

There are two teams:

Our aim is to provide a high quality advisory and support service to ensure both the adoption of good practice and compliance with legislation and regulation.
