School of Law
A leading law school in heart of Liverpool, with connections embedded in the city and across the globe.
We are a community of leading academics and students who are committed to legal education that inspires learning and enriches communities, and to our core values of access to justice, sustainability and inclusivity.
We are one of the only law schools in the UK where every LLB Law student has the opportunity to gain pro bono work experience from their first year onward. This is through the fantastic work of our Legal Advice Centre, we believe that even the most junior lawyer has a duty to give back to society.
The School offers a high-quality research and teaching environment and is home to the Centre for the Study of Law in Theory and Practice, which provides leadership, coherence and research focus in public law, business law, criminal law and legal practice.
The LJMU Student Law Journal is a peer-reviewed, edited collection of post-graduate and LLB essays, dissertations and opinion pieces, written by LJMU Law students and recent graduates. The journal covers a variety of legal subjects and issues.
