Martin is Subject Head in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics. He was previously Associate Dean for Education within the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Director of the Department of Computer Science and spent over a decade as Head of Enterprise for the Department overseeing commercial activities, contract research and intellectual property development.
He has served as external examiner for a range of Computing programmes within the UK and abroad at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
