1. Understanding the effectiveness of the James’ Place therapeutic model

   The aim of this study is to examine how effective the James’ Place therapeutic model is helping men overcome their suicidal crisis in both the short- and long-term.

2. The effectiveness and acceptability of Suicide Postvention Liaison Services for Individuals Bereaved by Suicide

   This study aims to interview people supported by these services, the employees delivering this support, commissioners and key wider services who may have links to the services, including coroners, police, GPs and public health officials.

3. Ask, Listen, Act – Working Together to Inform the Provision of SEND Support for Children after the COVID-19 Pandemic

   This study, funded by the NIHR, intends to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns on children and young people (CYP) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

4. Roscoe Lecture series

5. Professor Roger Webster

   Professor Roger Webster is the former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and Professor of Literary Studies at the university. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by LJMU in 2017 for his outstanding contribution to arts and cultural education. He brought together a book on the origins and history of LJMU, released in 2017 for the university’s 25th anniversary.

7. CPD Understanding Addictions

   In this CPD course you'll be able to assess different models of addiction and the mediators and moderators of addiction, with a focus on drug and alcohol addiction as major public health risks.
