1. Winner of Novella Award announced

   Nina Allan has been announced as the winner of the Novella Award, hosted by LJMU.

   Sports scientists from Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Liverpool Hope University have helped to select riders to take on the World Human Power Speed Challenge, due to take place in September 2015.

4. Outstanding graduates celebrate success

   At the final winter graduation ceremony, students from the Faculties of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, Science, and Engineering and Technology celebrated receiving their awards in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

5. Black History Month through the eyes of a local Liverpool pupil

   This month Ceana Khonje, a local pupil from Belvedere College in Liverpool took on a work experience placement here at LJMU.

6. Move more and sit less to improve health and productivity

   Encouraging desk-based staff to move more and sit less at work can not only improve their health, but also their work performance, was the advice from the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences (RISES), at a forum for contact centre employees.

7. Enhancing the global student experience

   Two Architecture students and a recent graduate are enjoying a truly international experience thanks to LJMU’s Go Global Fund and the Erasmus+ programme.

8. Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair

   The Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 18 October at the Student Life Building, 12-3pm. It will feature 60+ organisations from a range of sectors looking to hire students from across all courses and disciplines. If you have a disability, health condition or are neurodivergent and find busy fairs can be overwhelming, join us from 11am for our accessibility hour.

9. World Environment Day 2022

   Ahead of World Environment Day this Sunday (5 June), were reaffirming our commitment to green initiatives and sustainability.

10. Eight students compete in Archon University Fitness League

    Eight LJMU students took part in an Archon Fittest Universities Event in Birmingham earlier this month, with student Jordan McCarthy placing first across the leaderboard in the STRONG category.
