   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).

9. Astronomers catch Tatooine multiple star system as it forms

   For the first time astronomers, including Dr Richard Parker, of the Astrophysics Research Institute at LJMU, have caught a multiple-star system as it is created, and their observations are providing new insight into how such systems, and possibly the solar system, are formed. The amazing images taken from a series of telescopes on Earth show clouds of gas which are in the process of developing into stars.

    Liverpool John Moores University welcomed two of the Angola 3, Robert King and Albert Woodfox, on Thursday 3rd November as part of their European Freedom Tour.
