   Senior Education Lecturer Dr Judith Enriquez has helped the community of Alapasco in the Philippines to continue to develop their literacy skills despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

5. Homeless: the human cost of austerity

   LJMU’s Public Health Institute and Library Services hosted an art exhibition to raise awareness of issues faced by homeless people in the city

6. £4k raised so far through NSS

   Final year students have raised £4,000 for charity so far, by completing the National Student Survey.

7. Northern Ireland Teachers’ Conference success

   Visitors heard about the latest admissions policies revealed during an informative Q&A admissions panel, in addition to participating in a session delivered by several LJMU students from Northern Ireland who talked about life at LJMU.

8. Retracing "world's most costly" ship crash on LJMU Maritime Simulator

   After the worlds most costly cargo ship accident, maritime expert Dr Abdul Khalique mans LJMU's £2.5 million simulator to explain what went wrong on board the Ever Given.

9. Knitting together different generations

   A special handmade LFC inspired banner was unveiled at the Museum of Liverpool, which has been created by local children and older persons from the areas surrounding Anfield Stadium, as part of an LJMU intergenerational project – the Sustainable Skills Café.

10. Students and staff celebrate Ramaday and join together for Iftar

    Staff and students from across the university, both muslim and non-muslim, came together to break their fast (iftar).
