1. Get free IT kit through Laptop and Recycled IT schemes

   Students can apply for a free laptop or recycled IT kit through the IT support schemes.

2. Restrictions on using USBs

   From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.

3. Four apps new students should download now

   My LJMU, Canvas, Outlook and the Microsoft Authenticator apps are essential for all new students.

4. EndNote software upgrade

   This summer EndNote Desktop software is being upgraded from EndNote X9 to EndNote 20.

5. Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded

   Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded over the Easter weekend. The upgraded system will be available by 8am on Tuesday 6th April. The upgrade will move the system to the latest version of the software, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and continues to effectively support the University's business.
