   Join a week of online events and workshops from Monday 21 to Friday 25 October.

3. Examination Timetable now out

   The main University examinations will take place between 27 April - 7 May 2020.

4. Academic Framework Regulations updates for new academic year

   Two policies have been updated, one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate programmes.

5. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

6. VC becomes Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside

   LJMU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nigel Weatherill, has been made Deputy Lieutenant in the County of Merseyside, recognising his contribution to the region

7. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

8. Scholarships for new students starting September 2024

   Every year we award a range of scholarships from £1,000 to £5,000 that don't need to be paid back!

9. Long service awards

   The university has updated the Long Service Awards scheme to include celebration of reaching additional key milestones at 25, 35, 45 and 50+ years’ service.

10. LJMU launches 'eco houses' to help reduce carbon emissions from UK housing stock

    First purpose-built, multi-unit housing test facility in the North will be used by innovation and construction SMEs to address sustainability challenges of homes built over the last 100 years.
