1. Specialist Bowel Cancer Screening Practitioner Programme Level 7

   This level 7 CPD course will enable you to develop an understanding of psychosocial suicide prevention approaches.

2. Sharing practice – Using social media to support your research

   This week Pete Atherton from the School of Education has kindly offered to share some of his experience with social media.

3. Gary Blacker

   Gary is a paramedic science graduate of LJMU with over two decades of experience in the ambulance service. He has now made the transition to become a full-time member of staff at the university, teaching the next generation of health professionals. In 2023 he was named as an Outstanding Teacher at the students’ union awards after being nominated by his students.

4. Professor Pat Shenton OBE (1945-2021)

   During her long career with LJMU, Pat was recognised nationally and internationally as an innovator who was progressive, courageous, and determined to enhance the life chances of young people. Up until her retirement in 2010 she was at the forefront of teacher education, schools, and community engagement; all with lasting legacies to this day.

5. NTF/CATE Coaching Programme

   LJMU encourages individuals who can demonstrate excellence in individual or collaborative academic practice to apply for our coaching programme.

6. Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse

   The Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse theme is investigating advanced technologies and solutions to address current sustainability goals, climate change and reduction of carbon footprint for example anaerobic digestion, biodiesel production from waste streams, water and wastewater purification and resource capture.

Our expertise includes: technology in healthcare, specific topics relevant to children, young people and families; the outcomes of health and social care education, healthcare delivery, and resilience in modern living.
