   LJMU has long prided itself on offering access to higher education to under-represented sections of our community.

5. National Student Survey success for LJMU

   LJMU has significantly improved its performance in the National Student Survey (NSS).

6. How does tourism impact city-centre living?

   LJMU hosts the Mayor of Liverpool at a public meeting on the future of tourism in the city.

7. Donate to support homeless people this winter

   A local community organisation run by one of our academic staff is appealing for donations to support homeless people this winter.

8. LJMU network for women in football

   Liverpool John Moores University is establishing a brand new network to connect and provide greater opportunities for women in football.

9. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

   The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

10. Launch of MSc Emergency Care module

    The universitys new and innovative MSc Emergency Care module has been well received, with more than 200 stakeholders, leaders and healthcare professionals attending the launch symposium.
