1. The University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme research initiatives announced

   After consideration of all applications to the University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme, the projects to receive funding have been announced.

2. Public Health Institute and Drama students create educational film on gang-related violence

   LJMU Drama students have joined forces with LJMUs Public Health Institute to create an educational film helping NHS staff deal with the consequences of gang-related violence in hospitals.

3. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

4. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

5. City and University Leaders share race and equality lessons

   Six months after launching the Reciprocal Mentoring programme, prominent leaders from the city of Liverpool and the university came together on campus, to mark the halfway point of their innovative scheme to develop greater understanding between the university and the communities they serve.

6. New and updated diversity and inclusion policies

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

7. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Lesphobia and Transphobia

   The Diversity and Inclusion Team reflects with Lucy Day, Impact Officer in Research and Innovation Services on May 17, IDAHOBIT.

8. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.

   This year's staff award winners have been announced.
