1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.
This March is Student Voice Month and we are asking staff to encourage all students to share their feedback and suggestions about studying at LJMU.
Over 130 students, staff and alumni joined the Liverpool City Region Pride March at the weekend.
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has recently approved a new health and safety code of practice as well as amendments to a further 11 policies.
An exciting range of part-time or summer internships are available for current students to apply for now, along with a host of graduate placements for LJMU graduates who left the University from 2020 onwards.
The Broadcast Hub is proving to be a useful tool for further raising the profile of the University, with Dr David Lowe conducting interviews with Sky News and broadcasters based in Istanbul and Dubai.
The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.
Formal nominations need to be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday 23 January 2024.
