1. Academic Board election results 2023

   A host of representatives from our faculties, along with professional services, have been elected to the Academic Board following a series of elections that took place over the past fortnight.

2. Annual survey of teaching space from 21 October

   The annual survey of teaching space will take place across the University over a two-week period, from Monday 21 October to Friday 1 November, 9am to 5pm.

3. NSS raises £4,500 for charity in three weeks

   Final year students have so far raised a terrific £4,500 for charity by completing the National Student Survey (NSS) in the first three weeks.

4. LJMU Diversity and Inclusion Calendar 2023 is now available

   LJMU’s Diversity and Inclusion Calendar is now available as a resource to all staff and students on the LJMU website.

5. Nursing wins UK Student Satisfaction award

   Nursing students at LJMU are officially the most satisfied in the country as voted for by our own students!

6. Wellbeing journals: order copies for your new students

   Copies of the new wellbeing journal are now available and staff are encouraged to order copies for their students.

7. New Diversity and Inclusion Policy

   The D&I Team has developed the Transgender and Non-Binary Policy for staff and students, with accompanying guidance.

8. LJMU to evaluate success of Royal British Legion Break service

   A major national study of the impact of the Royal British Legion break service on veterans and their families, is being carried out by LJMU.

9. Bid to stop stigma of menstruation in Nepal

   LJMU researchers have secured a £300,000 grant from the British Academy to tackle the stigma faced by Nepalese women during menstruation.

10. LJMU collaborates with Liverpool Law Society

    LJMU Law students are being offered career and networking opportunities from Liverpool Law Society (the society that represents all lawyers from the Liverpool City Region) due to a new collaboration between the two organisations.
