1. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

2. Staff survey about online teaching during COVID

   Students at Liverpool School of Art and Design are asking staff to complete a short survey about their experience of online teaching during the pandemic.

3. Cost and stigma tarnish experience of medicinal cannabis users

   Five years on from the legalisation of prescription cannabis researchers in the School of Justice Studies conduct the first UK study of patient experiences

4. New date for staff event raising awareness of domestic abuse support

   Staff are invited to an event on Wednesday 14 December from 10am to 11am at Exchange Station (Room 1 & 2), where they can find out more about how we're supporting those impacted by domestic abuse.

5. Student nurses train in the community in new Mersey Care partnership

   Ten trainee nurses will work alongside district and community nurses over the next year as part of a new internship scheme aimed at supporting direct career pathways into the community health sector.

6. Join the LJMU All Staff Football Tournament this September

   On 5 September, LJMU will be hosting an all-staff 5-aside football tournament in the LJMU Sport Building with all levels of football experience welcome.

7. Staff leadership course: apply for CPD accredited Calibre Programme

   Open to staff who identify as neurodiverse, deaf or disabled, or who have a long-term physical or mental health condition

8. Work under way to transform Byrom Street

   The university has begun work on a series of major projects to continue the transformation of our Byrom Street site for the benefit of students and staff.

9. Staff event at Student Life Building

   Our next staff open day at the Student Life Building takes place on Wednesday 24 November, with networking opportunities, a chance to find out more about the building and its services, plus a free lunch.
